Basics of mobile numerology

What is mobile numerology?

Mobile numerology is the practice of analysing the digits of your phone number to assess compatibility with your personal birth numbers. It is based on Chaldean and Vedic numerology principles that assign specific planetary energies to digits 1 through 9. A compatible number is believed to support communication, opportunity and professional growth. An incompatible one introduces friction and delays. Read the full explanation here.

Does mobile numerology actually work?

Mobile numerology is not scientifically proven. It is a belief-based guidance system with a long practical tradition, used by millions of people in India. Many practitioners and clients report meaningful improvements in communication quality and professional outcomes after switching to a compatible number. Whether it works for any individual is something each person can only assess through their own experience. Read our detailed assessment here.

What is the difference between Mulank and Bhagyank?

Mulank (Psychic Number) is the single-digit sum of your birth day only. It represents your outer personality and instinctive nature. Bhagyank (Destiny Number) is the single-digit sum of your complete date of birth including day, month and year. It represents your life path and long-term karmic direction. Both must be compatible with your mobile number total for the number to be considered truly lucky for you.

How is mobile numerology different from name numerology?

Name numerology analyses the vibrational value of letters in your name to reveal personality traits and karmic lessons. Mobile numerology analyses the digits of your phone number for compatibility with your birth numbers. They share the same underlying principles but apply them to different subjects. Mobile numerology is more actionable since changing a phone number is significantly easier than changing a name.

Which numerology system does LMNB use?

We use a combination of Chaldean compatibility scoring, Lo Shu Grid analysis and Vedic numerology principles. Each number is evaluated across six layers: Mulank and Bhagyank harmony, digit pair analysis, digit frequency, Lo Shu Grid balance, material and emotional balance, and profession alignment. This multi-layer approach distinguishes a professional analysis from a basic calculator result.

Calculating your numbers

How do I calculate my mobile number total?

Add all 10 digits of your mobile number and reduce to a single digit. Do not include the country code. Example: 9823456710 gives 9+8+2+3+4+5+6+7+1+0=45, then 4+5=9. Mobile total is 9. Use our free calculator to do this instantly, or read the full step-by-step calculation guide.

How do I calculate my Mulank?

Add the digits of your birth day only and reduce to a single digit. Born on the 7th: Mulank is 7. Born on the 15th: 1+5=6. Born on the 29th: 2+9=11, 1+1=2. Mulank is 2. Only the day matters here, not the month or year.

How do I calculate my Bhagyank?

Add all digits of your complete date of birth, day plus month plus year, and reduce to a single digit. Example: DOB 15/08/1990 gives 1+5+0+8+1+9+9+0=33, then 3+3=6. Bhagyank is 6.

Do I include the country code in my mobile number calculation?

No. Use only the 10 digits of your mobile number. Exclude +91 and any leading zeros before the number itself.

What are compound numbers and do they matter?

The compound number is the two-digit total before final reduction. For example, if your number adds to 37 before reducing to 1 (3+7=10, 1+0=1), the compound number is 37. Compound numbers carry additional meaning beyond the single-digit total. Among numbers that reduce to the same digit, some compounds are more auspicious than others. For Total 1, the compound order is generally 37 over 55 over 73 over 46 over 64.

Lucky and unlucky totals

Which mobile number total is the luckiest?

Total 5 (Mercury) is the most universally auspicious because it has no enemy numbers and is compatible with every birth profile. Total 1 (Sun), Total 3 (Jupiter) and Total 6 (Venus) are also broadly auspicious for compatible profiles. The best total for any individual depends specifically on their Mulank and Bhagyank.

Which totals should generally be avoided?

Totals 2, 4 and 8 are generally not recommended for most profiles. Total 2 (Moon) is receptive rather than outward-projecting, making it poorly suited to a communication channel. Total 4 (Rahu) creates unpredictable boom-and-bust patterns. Total 8 (Saturn) introduces sustained delays and friction into professional communication. Total 9 (Mars) is powerful but conditional, suitable only for specific Mulank and Bhagyank combinations.

Is Total 6 good for everyone?

No. Total 6 (Venus) is among the most powerful business and wealth-attracting totals but it is specifically not recommended for Mulank or Bhagyank 3 and 9. Venus and Jupiter (3) conflict, as do Venus and Mars (9). For everyone else Total 6 is an excellent choice, particularly for business owners and client-facing professionals.

Can Mulank 8 people use any auspicious total?

Yes, but the options are more limited. Mulank 8 has enemy numbers 1, 2, 4, 8 and 9. The safe totals for Mulank 8 are 3, 5, 6 and 7. Total 5 and Total 7 are universally safe. Total 6 is the strongest option for wealth and business. The Bhagyank must also be checked against the same chart.

Is the number 8 always unlucky in numerology?

No. The number 8 is considered highly auspicious in Chinese numerology. In Vedic and Chaldean numerology as used in mobile number analysis in India, Total 8 is generally not recommended as a mobile number total because Saturn’s energy introduces delays and resistance. However 8 as a Mulank or Bhagyank does not make a person unlucky. It simply means certain mobile totals are better avoided for that profile.

Selecting and changing your number

How do I choose a lucky mobile number by date of birth?

Calculate your Mulank and Bhagyank. Identify which totals are not enemies of either. From those compatible totals, select based on your primary goals: Total 5 or 7 for universal safety, Total 6 for business, Total 1 for leadership, Total 3 for communication and creativity. What digit rules apply beyond just the total?

Four key rules apply regardless of how good the total is. First, no digit should repeat more than three times. Second, avoid ending in zero. Third, avoid malefic digit pairs: 18 and 81 (relationship issues), 14 and 41 (legal issues), 27 and 72 (health issues). Fourth, the compound number (the two-digit total before final reduction) matters and some compounds are more auspicious than others even when they share the same single-digit total. Read the full mobile number selection guide.

Can I change my mobile number without losing my contacts?

Yes. Contacts are stored in your phone and are not tied to your number. Most people run both numbers for 3 to 6 months during transition, informing their network gradually. WhatsApp can be transferred to the new number using the app’s built-in account transfer feature. Once the new number is well distributed, the old one can be deactivated.

How long does it take to see results after changing to a lucky number?

Subtle changes in the quality and responsiveness of professional communication are often noticed within the first few weeks. More significant career and business shifts typically become apparent over 3 to 6 months of consistent primary use. Fully deactivating the old incompatible number accelerates the transition.

Is it better to have a Vi, Jio or Airtel number from a numerology perspective?

The operator does not affect the numerology of a number. Only the 10 digits themselves matter. The choice of operator should be based on network coverage in your area and plan preferences. Our SIM service currently provides numbers on the Vi network, which is available in 19 plus states across India.
